On January 31st, Startup America Partnership will celebrate its one-year anniversary.

To mark our first year, we are going all out; we have 14 events scheduled including the launch of nine new Startup America Regions.

Startup America National Anniversary Event/ Startup Illinois

Startup DC

Join Startup America leadership as well as DC regional leaders in the startup community for an invitation-only Startup DC Ideas Summit. Together, with United States CTO Aneesh Chopra, we will launch Startup DC with a frank, creative conversation about ways to knock down barriers to startup success here in the DC region. A diverse group of speakers will give seven-minute “TED” style talk, each identifying a specific problem and suggesting a bold, new solution that Startup DC can pursue this year.

Startup Florida

Startup Iowa

Startup Iowa is hosting the Iowa Startup Fair, which is a startup-only expo happening simultaneously throughout the state in four locations (so far).

Startup Kansas is launching on January 31st at an event from 1-2pm at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library.  At the event, you'll have the opportunity to network, hear from inspiring speakers, and learn more about the resources and partner commitments made to support the growth of startups in Kansas.

Startup Michigan

Startup Michigan will be launching on January 31st at the Annual Collaboration for Entrepreneurship, an event that celebrates and promotes entrepreneurship in the Great Lakes region. ACE brings together entrepreneurs, service providers, investors, students, government agents and other members of the business community to network, learn and connect. The event runs 2-9pm and will feature Scott Case, CEO of Startup America Partnership.

Startup Missouri

Startup Missouri is rallying its startups to illuminate a statewide path to make the “Show Me State” into the “Grow Me State”. The best companies and programs are highlighted by their founding entrepreneurs to address what’s working and what we can do together to make it even better.

Join from 11AM for lunch and stay through program and planning until 4PM at the T-REX, (Tech Entrepreneur Center at the historic Railway Exchange) in St. Louis.

Startup Nebraska

Startup Nebraska will officially launch at 3pm on January 27th (yep, getting the Startup America Anniversary celebration started early!) at the Mastercraft Building (1111 North 13th Street) in Omaha. The launch event will provide a chance to hear more about The Startup America Partnership and to walk around and check out Mastercraft, a budding tech and startup hub just north of downtown Omaha. Many of the entrepreneurs in the building will have their doors open for walk-throughs and tours. The event will also include light hors d’oeuvres and drinks.

Startup Rhode Island

Startup Tennessee

Startup Tennessee is getting a jump on everyone by hosting the author of The Power of Social Innovation.  Then, for the 31st, they have crafted a jam-packed day with a unique twist.  Join Case Foundation CEO Jean Case, Startup America Partnership Board Member Pam Contag, and Dell's Entrepreneur-in-Residence Ingrid Vanderveldt  for a day of talks, panels, pitches and more -- all focused on social innovation and women entrepreneurship and more. The event runs 9:30am to 3:00pm at the Entrepreneur Center in Nashville. Startup Vermont

Startup Vermont will be launching on January 31st during an event 11am-12pm at the Cedar Creek Room in the Vermont State House in Montpelier.  Join entrepreneurs and corporate and government leaders for an exciting kickoff and announcement of key initaitives for driving more entrepreneurship in Vermont.

Startup Virginia

Startup Virginia will be launching on January 31st by hosting a celebration of entrepreneurship with Startup America Partnership Board Member Steve Case and United States CTO Aneesh Chopra. Join the Startup Virginia team from 7:30am to 10:00am at the Founders Hall Auditorium at George Mason University's Arlington Campus. This event had been previously sold out, but George Mason has opened overflow space. Please plan to arrive early in order to be seated in the main auditorium. Also, parking is limited, so if at all possible please plan to take the Metro.
