Entrepreneurial Leaders From Across the US Descend on Boulder for Startup America Regional Summit
More than 100 Entrepreneurs to Collaborate on Building Startup Ecosystems Throughout the Country
WASHINGTON, DC June 1, 2012 – More than 100 entrepreneurs representing 27 states will participate in the Startup America Regional Summit June 4-5 in Boulder, CO. The Summit provides a unique opportunity for Startup Regionchampions to collaborate on building vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystems at the state and community level. This event will be Startup America’s most wide-reaching Summit to date, bringing together successful serial entrepreneurs from Hawaii and Washington to Puerto Rico and New Hampshire.
“As a nation, it is critical to help startups reach their full potential, regardless of the community where they begin, said Donna Harris, Startup America’s Managing Director of Startup Regions. “Every person attending this summit is passionate about that commitment, and is coming to Boulder prepared to identify ways to strengthen their home states and collaborate to help their peers from across the country.”
These regional champions, who promote their startup communities from the ground up, will discuss the unique challenges they face in their home states and the best practices for increasing the network density needed for a successful startup ecosystem.
“Boulder itself is a prime example of how an entrepreneurial community can grow, evolve and thrive,” said Brad Feld, Startup Colorado Champion and founder of TechStars and The Foundry Group. “We’re excited to connect with other startup champions from across the country, highlight our startup scene and learn from our peers tackling common issues throughout the country.”
The Summit begins Monday afternoon and concludes Tuesday evening. Stay up-to-date with what’s going on in real-time in Boulder by following @startupamerica on Twitter.
