Hire and Get Hired this Summer!
By Adrea P., Startup America Communications Intern, @startupamerica
Finding a summer job (paid or unpaid) can be a pain, especially after months of classes and homework. During my overwhelming search process this spring, I Googled everything I could think of, bookmarked dozens of companies, and initiated several email correspondences—and that was only the beginning. Finally, I found a great internship opportunity here at the Startup America Partnership.
While working on one of my first projects, I saw a video of Sara Senderoff pitching her company, Intern Sushi, at SXSW. Intern Sushi is a website that allows the user to streamline the application process by creating a digital profile. Simply enter a city, industry, and category, and Intern Sushi provides a list of available positions. Whether you’re interested in fashion, publishing, or any other field of work, Intern Sushi can help you land a great internship in your city. If only I knew about Intern Sushi when I was making summer plans! And of course, startups can use Intern Sushi to find the perfect interns as well.
