ParkRover offers all the information someone would need to plan for their outdoor adventure whether you are a newbie or an expert.
ParkRover is free and the sign up process is fast and easy. It allows you to pick your favorite outdoor activities so you can get the best recommendations for your specific interests. Based on your profile, ParkRover is also able to recommend similar users (or “rovers”) for suggestions and recommendations to make the most of your trip.

What inspired you to start your company?
When I was planning a trip to visit several local, state, and national parks in Washington and Oregon, I had a difficult time aggregating the information because it was located on multiple sites. Not one website offered all the information I needed to adequately plan for the trip. Pulling all this information together was tedious and time-consuming, and that's how ParkRover got started.

Our goal is to make it easier to plan a trip for the great outdoors. ParkRover consolidates all local, state, and national park information in one place. In addition, ParkRover also provides information on activities. So if you are looking to pick up a new activity, like hiking or kayaking, ParkRover can help you get started.
Tell us something unique about you and your co-founder
We’re identical twins who started out on completely different career paths coming out of college and ParkRover has given us something to work toward together.
What problem does your product or service solve?
It’s a real pain to research a trip to visit multiple parks, especially if you are interested in visiting national, state and local parks along the way. We make planning your trip easier by providing all of this information in one place. ParkRover also provides information on all sorts of things to do at your favorite park. Whether you are a novice or expert, our site can help you prepare for various sports and activities.
What are your startup's three biggest challenges to growth?
Our three biggest challenges to growth are 1) Establishing user interest 2) Building brand recognition among sponsors 3) Keeping up to date with the latest park information

I am actually using a previously featured business, AppDuppy, to develop an app for ParkRover. I also use StartUp America Partnership to read up on events and connect with other entrepreneurs

What is the startup culture like in your City/State?
Jacksonville is probably best known for the restaurant chains that got started there, such as Firehouse and the Loop. It would be great to see that entrepreneurial spirit expand to other industries as well.
